Forward slash key functing acting as the as a french é acent key

The forward slash button keeps cumming up with an accented E éééé. I have
attempted to correct it with Tool and the Language function put onto English
.. nothing is occuring.

Have you tried Tools, AutoCorrect and AutoFormat as You Type. It was
probably in there to have the slash be replaced with the other character.

Hi,
If your operating system is XP the go to Control Panel, then Regional and
Language Options, and click on the Languages tab. Then click on the Details
button, and look at the installed services. Make sure your keyboard is set
up in English. It's easy here to add or remove the language your keyboard
uses. I'm in Canada and I switch it all the time from French to English and
back.
