I would like to forward attachments that arrive with a document sent to me.
I can¹t seem to find a way to do this (one more thing Entourage really needs
to consider?).

Thanks.

Thank you, Michel, but isn't there an easier way? When you forward as
attachment the message arrives with two documents in the attachment box: the
original email and the attachment itself. Is it not possible to forward so
that the attachment is alone, or even (if a photo) so that the picture/photo
appears in the body of the email?

Try message --> Redirect.

Diane,

Please tell me how "redirect" works.

I tried to see if "Redirect" would work but it seems to be always grayed
out. I tried to highlight the e-mail and select Message and I tried opening
the e-mail and selecting Message. Both times "redirect" was not available. I
also tried a few different folders but no change.

Thanks,

Tom Hart

Is this an Exchange account? Exchange doesn't allow redirects.

I have an Exchange account, and Redirect not only works it seems to solve
the problem. This brings the larger issue of why Redirect works with one
Exchange account but not another (Tom Hart's).

(top posting fixed)

That I would love to know! It's certainly unavailable in Entourage here.

OK, Exploring this a bit further and offering my experience:

Redirect DOES work with messages from News Servers (such as this list) and
on messages in the Inbox in "Folders on My Computer" where I have a couple
of POP3 e-mail accounts stored.

Redirect DOES NOT seem to work on messages in my Exchange Server Account and
on messages from RSS feeds. Interesting . . .

Yep, that's my experience as well. It's based on the account used to
receive / send the message.

Let me add another curve (note: no longer top posting!!)

I cannot redirect an OPEN email on my Exchange account, but if the email is
highlighted in the Mailbox window, then I can. However, I cannot add or
modify text, which is what I sometimes need to do. Again, I refer to Eudora,
where forwarding automatically includes any attachments, simply and cleanly.

Forwards allow you to edit/add to an email. Redirect does not.

If exchange will not let you redirect, copy the email to "Folders on My
Computer". Another option would be to copy and paste into a new email where
you can add your comments.

Lastly, send Microsoft Feedback on this. Look under Help to send feedback.
It's too late for this version as new features have long been locked down,
but get it in for the never version.

Thanks.

Your typo in the last line--"never version"--is more like what I expect when
it comes to suggested improvements sent to Microsoft!
