When I have long urls sent to me and then I forward them on the link sometimes wraps over onto another line and then only the first line acts as a link (and is therefore an incorrect link) and the second line is just plain text.

Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated.

I'm using 12.1.5 by the way.

URLs should be wrapped in brackets to help with long URLs that break.
Another option is to use TinyUrl.

Create a TinyURL-no more broken links

In case the above link does not work:

Before forwarding the message, put angle brackets < > around the link, e.g.,
<http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2008/01/alternative_method_to_use_entourage_
and_time_machine.html>
That should make the link work even if it breaks across a line.

Except on the Forum. The Forum interface doesn't respect the brackets. Email
applications should respect the brackets.

Is this a common issue with Entourage - I use both Apple Mail and Entourage (different machines) and never have this problem with Apple Mail.

Since the OP referred to "Forwarding" I inferred (possibly incorrectly) that
he was using Entourage or another e-mail program.

The difference probably lies with how Mail wraps lines.
