Forwarding Outlook Exp messages gobbles up Graphics

Sometimes when Forwarding Outlook Express 6.0 messages that contain graphics,
the pictures disappear and a small box with a tiny red cross is sent instead.
This only happens sometimes and it is very annoying. Can anyone help me,
please??
