Is it possible to edit html page with FrontPage without the use of FrontPage
extension on the server?
I am maintaining a website that has been created, edited and updated by
dreamweaver. I don't thing the server for the site supports FrontPage
extension. There are situation I would like to use FrontPage. for an
example, the use of bookmark instead of DreamWeaver's anchor and the
multi-page capability when I work with java parameter on one page while
finding/creating book mark on the other .shtml without closing either page.

Yes, FrontPage can edit sites on servers that don't have
the FrontPage Server Extensions installed. However, you
must start by downloading a copy of the site to your
local disk.

Then, you modify the local copy and publish the changes
back to the live site.
