I've been working with FP since version 1 when it was Vermeer's product.
Basically there are and have been as far as I can remember two
ways...opening a local disc based web and opening a local server based web
(PWS Personal Web Server, newer versions run IIS on local machine as
server). Open C: is disc based Open
http://localhost/whatever is server
based. Confusing at first but after 10 years I got the hang of it
|
| the way it asks you to open a web
| very confusing , not intuitive
| there are several ways to approach opening a web
|
| hard to put into words but those who worked with fp98 and fp 2000 know
what
| i am talking about.
|
| also the way it uses the frames, i am UNABLE to reset the left frame
|
| so i always have to manually drag it to the corret width so that i can see
| the file names.

| ***Hey, if you're happy with a 9 yr old program there's not much point to
| ***upgrading to a 7 year old program eh?
| ***There won't be a FP2007, but you may want to look at Expression Web
which
| is
| ***MS's new web designer.
| ***
| ***What's not "friendly" about the way FP2000 opens? It was always nice to
| me.

| ***| ***| can anyone tell me what if anything is significantly different
between
| ***|
| ***| the older version fp98 ( i own fp2000 and rarely use it as it is not
as
