FP'02 Ad Banner Doesn't Work on Some Systems

J

John Hogue

I have An Ad Banner designed in an FP add-in that works
fine on my PC when "Previewed" in Browser (IE) but can't
be seen on the same PC online after publishing. I see it
online on an older PC on our network, but not on mine or
a wireless laptop on the same system system. (See
www.masterpieceresumes.com, below the Logo & between the
circles.) Any thoughts as to what the problem may be: a
Spam or Security Screen? System Setting or Filter? IE vs
Netscape?

Require sJava Virtual Machine which can be
downloaded from http://java.sun.com
because windows XP / IE6 no longer come with JVM installed.

Works for me
- but your script is not the best
- click on the "ad" gets me an error

Most popup blockers don't allow files / folders named w/ AD or banner

I will check it out! It's interesting that the add-in
from websunlimited was supposed to overcome that specific
issue

Could this problem be related to the XP Security Patch
you talked about elsewhere? I have XP Home which doesn't
show the add-in's Ad Banner, nor does my network's
wireless laptop (also on XP Home). However, an older
network PC on W'98 shows it fine. And, Stefan, you said
it works on yours.

Could this problem be related to the XP SP2 patch
discussed elsewhere? It works on an older network PC
with W'98 and a new network laptop with XP Home but not
on mine (with XP Home)and another wireless PC with XP.
And, it works on your's.

Not unless you downloaded and installed the Win Xp SP2 (270 MB patch)
