FP2000 VBA: objects, methods for graphics, links?

E

Ed

I've done a bit of Word and Excel VBA programming, but not FP. I wanted to
try a macro to find the name of every inserted graphic object and the href
for every hyperlink on my web pages, but I couldn't come up with the object
and method names. Can someone give me drop-kick in the right direction?

Thank you.

What you want to do is already built into FrontPage.
View > Reports > Site Summary and then select what you want from the list that appears.

Thanks for the reply, Steve. What I wanted to do, though, was to iterate
through all the names and link hrefs, and manipulate the strings by
replacing some characters. Yesterday, Rob pointed out that I had a lot of
capital letters, and this may be causing me problems (got a thread on
..client). I thought if I could write every name to a string, I could check
the string for capital letters and replace with lower case and then write it
back. I don't know if the summary report would let me do that.

The problem under Windows OS, is that you would have to first rename the file to something
different, then rename it to all lower case.

Example:

MyWebPage.htm > mywebpage1.htm > mywebpage.htm

Because Windows would not see any difference in the filename if you just change the case of the file
name.

With as little as I've got, it would probably take as long to write the
macros to do all of that as it would to do it all manually! Well, at least
I know now why I *never* want to do that again! 8>{
