FP2002 Editing Shared Borders still not working

Linda

I posted a message about this a couple days ago. I
downloaded all the updates from Microsoft so that my
FP2002 is up to date. My host supports FP2002. Everything
is as it should be except that FP2002 still isn't working
properly. When I edit a page that has shared borders, and
save the changes, then reopen the page in the editor,
there are two copies of the shared borders. If I make
more changes, and repeat the process I get three copies
of the shared borders. The only way to get rid of them is
create a new page and copy the text into it, then save,
then reopen and add shared borders and save again. This
is crazy. I originally tried to send an email to
Microsoft support, but it told me I wasn't entitled to
free support (I just bought FP2002 last fall). I really
don't want to pay $35 to tell Microsoft support that
their software doesn't work. Does anyone have a
suggestion, because I'm ready to throw this computer out
the window....thanks.

Unfortunately the patches just prevent further propagation of the duplicates, but do not remove the damage (hard code html copies in
your existing pages)
- yes you must go back and remove the hard coded html dupes from all pages

Actually, the patches do not prevent further propagation
of the duplicates. After all the updates were made, I
tried to edit a page which was correct, but I had the
same problem I had before the updates were made -
duplicate copies of the shared borders. After reading
your message, I checked the html to see what it showed.
It showed two extra lines setting the background, so I
removed them. There were no lines indicating text on the
page. When I went back to normal view, the extra shared
borders were gone but so was my text. I had to copy it
from my web site to get it back. I just don't know what's
wrong, but I'm convinced it's nothing that I'm doing. Any
other suggestions?
