FP2003 and Access databases

I've been told that tinkering with an Access database
that was created in FP2000 or XP but using FP2003
corrupts the database, changes how Results pages look,
and that I should never use FP2003 to do work on pre-
existing Access databases within my website. Does anybody
know anything about this situation?

There *have* been some issues reported, primarily
involving use of the Database Results Wizard to run non-
query statements like INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE. However,
I wouldn't go so far as recommending never using the
FP2003 DRW to work with databases or DRW pages created in
earlier versions of FrontPage. After all, at some point,
you have to move forward.

That said, it never hurts to have a backup copy of your
Web site. No one was every sorry they had a backup. (Well,
OK, Nixon, but that wasn't a Web site.)
