frames question.

Hi,

I want to create a link to a frames pages (with in the left frame a menu,
and in the right frame a topic from that menu).

Example...

On the homepage is a list of topics:

NEWS
:: Today
:: Yesterday
:: Old news

Now by clicking, lets say yesterday, the browser must load the framespage of
NEWS with in the left frame the menu, and in the right frame the topic
Yesterday.
Same by clicking Old news, the browser must load the framespage of NEWS with
in the left frame the menu, and in the right frame the topic Old News
etc....

Is this possible in plain HTML?

Thanks for your advise

your question seem more complicated than the answer. But I think this would
help.
A frame page is more than one web page formatted into one page. Each frame
page will have a file on the server and also the page inside the frame. you
can link to any one, the frame page or the source of the frame.

Use javascript
In the HEAD Section add:
<script language="JavaScript"><!--
function functionName(fileName1,fileName2) {
parent.frameName1.location.href = fileName1;
parent.frameName2.location.href = fileName2;
}
//--></script>
And Make your link
<a href="javascript:functionname('file1.html','file2.html')">Change Both</a>
