Free Beta versions( Project 2003...) for NGO(s) and Associations

Many associations and NGO(s) can not afford Microsoft software and thus have
to use software which are not legal or up to date. If they could get Beta
versions for free for the Humanitarian work they do, it would make a great
difference for Microsoft and for these hard working associations.

Thanks

Sophia

A free alternative is available : www.openoffice.org

I know a few NGOs, churches & even businesses that use this suite. My boss
uses his PC solely to check e-mails, so all it's got is Win-XP Home. We
installed OpenOffice suite 2.0 into his PC just in case he needs to open
some attachments. And we're quite impressed with OpenOffice 2.0 (the rest
of us in the office are on Microsoft Office 2003).

I can assure you that OpenOffice 2003 is more than sufficient for NGOs,
churches, etc.

Why on earth would you want a beta, free or otherwise? It's okay to fool
around with a beta if you're a real expert or enjoy tinkering with new
stuff, but no organization should rely on beta software to get its actual
work done. That's asking for trouble.
