Frontpage begineer's questions

have several novice questions..

1. I have windows XP, I thought it comes with frontpage, but I can not
find it in my program files except for an empty folder named frontpage.

So, do I have to still buy it?


2. What version should I buy, 2002 or 2003?


3. Where to buy it from, if I don't want it through free schemes?


4. My web hosting service supports only frontpage 2002, if I buy 2003,
would it be a problem?

Only if you want to use it on your computer. If you know someone who has it
already, you can use it on their computer.

Yes, definitely. Or an older version. Of course, which one is entirely up to
you. The newer ones have more features, and generally work better. The older
versions cost less money.

Any reputable software dealer that sells Microsoft products. You can try a
free online trial version of FrontPage 2003 from:

Probably not. Unless you want to use certain newer FrontPage components. But
publishing will not be a problem. Neither will most FrontPage components.
