frustrating mac or entourage problem

Have an ibook and run entourage in preferance to mac mail.
Have been having problems in that I have to reboot to get mail, not
gmail funnily enough but my normal mail from euro1net - I know its not
a euro1net mail server problem - any ideas anyone? or do I go back to
using mac mail - hope not

Export your data in to an archive, create a new identity and import.
I've seen the same issue. If you watch the progress bar it will in
fact download the messages but will not display due to the Ent.
database being corrupted. Running the option-click maintenance does
nothing, the only way I've found to fix this is to create a new
identity and import from an archive.

ps - just curious, what's the size of your mail database? you can find
this in ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Main Identity/

not sure if this is what u need but got info on database in
~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Main Identity/ clicked on database and
got info.

It shows 144kb (143.648 bytes)

Seems small to me.

Just got an email from my isp also suggesting that I may have a stale
session so they have suggested powering off the router - will do that
also and take note of what you said cheers
