I have several spreadsheets with columns containing codes, & I need t
know how many times a code can apply. A code is single characte
(e.g., "A" - "J") , but sometimes multiple codes apply, so any cell i
the range can have 1-5 characters.
I started by looking for a function or combo that would count for m
the number of cells in the column if a given condition is TRUE (e.g.
code = "A"). How do I get Excel to look at a string of characters in
cell and add 1 if a specific character is contained in that string
