I have been developing web pages for awhile but am new to
FrontPage. Notepad or some other such text editor has
been my tool of choice until now.
I do not have IIS installed on my computer and have been
trying to avoid that in order to minimize security
concerns. When just using a text editor, the only
limitation that imposes is not being able to submit forms
as long as all JavaScript is placed within SCRIPT tags in
the HTML files.
It seems the limitations with FrontPage are greater. Is
there a list of what features/functionalities will not
work unless a site created in FrontPage is actually
published to a web server?
I expected it to just be the submitting of forms, but
today I tried to add a collapsible menu and that also did
not work as FrontPage placed the JavaScript for that in
an external .js file. Is that the standard for FrontPage?
Thanks in advance.
