Generate code

I am using excel to track attendence in my preschool. I code the children
based on 3 criteria. i would like to automatically generate this code. The 3
criteria are
1) "Certified" "Non-Certified"
2) "Full" "AM"
3) "Pre-K" "Nursery" "Pre-Nursery"

The codes i would like to generate are

HC2 = Half Certified 2
HC3-5 = Half Certified 3-5
HNC2 = Half Non-Certified 2
HNC3-5 = Half Non-Certified 3-5
FC2 = Full Certified 2
FC3-5 = Full Certified 3-5
FNC2 = Full Non-Certified 2
FNC3-5 = Full Non-Certified 3-5

Pre-Nursery corresponds to the "2" in the code and Nursery and Pre-K
correspond to the "3"

What is the best way to do this?

I receive state funds for my school - so that i have reporting requirements.
One of my reqirements is to track attendence of each type of student. I have
an excel sheet in which i mark the attendance for each child. I have to then
calculate how many days of attendence for each type of child. I am doing this
with a name in the first column a code in the second followed by the
attendence. after the attendence column i have a column that calculates using
the IF function - IF "code" is in the code column than add the attendence.
Currently i am manually entering the code basing on on the differant
criteria. I would like excel to look at the criteria and generate the code.
