Get Contacts to Show form "To..." button?

Outlook 2003, Win XP home SP1

In the new message window of Outlook, when I try to click on the book
icon to the left of "To.", I get a empty Select Names window (although I
have plenty of contact folders).
When I right-click on a Contact folder > Properties > Outlook Address
Book tab, "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" is grayed out, so
I can't check the box.
How do I get the contacts available from the "To..." icon of the new
message window?

Seems to me you have yet to add the Outlook Address Book Service to your
Profile.

That's right. Now I remember. I did that once before, added OAB service
to my profile. I undid it somehow when I played with the personal
folders.
