Get Green blocks & PowerPoint screen freezes when inserting video

K

Kim

We are unable to insert a video clip into a PowerPoint slide. We get a
flashing green block in the upper left corner of the screen and then the
computer freezes up. This is happening on all the computers in our lab that
we had installed Dragon Naturally Speaking on for a workshop this summer.
The computers that were not used in the workshop are working fine. We have
uninstalled Dragon and reinstalled Office Professional 2003 and are still
having the same problem.

Thank you so very much for any assistance you can give!!!

I have seen this effect on computers where WinDVD was installed as a
DVD-Software and was made the Standard Program for DVDs. When I
de-installed WinDVD and used an Add-In for WMP to play DVDs instead,
everything was fine.

Best regards,
Ute
