Getting emails from a "local folder"

M

Mark Holbrook

Long story made short...

I have entourage on both my MacBookPro and my MacMini. On my MBP I had some
"local folder" which contained some things I need. Well the MBP crashed but
I do have a backup.

I'm trying to figure out how to open the backed up copy of the entourage
data to gain access to those "local folders".

The backup I have is a complete clone of the MBP disk. I have tried moving
my user/documents/microsoft user data/office 2004 identies folder and
moving the one in place from my backup. Entourage starts ok but my local
folders are not there.

I then tried replacing the entire microsoft user data folder with the one
from the backup. Same result.

I've tried importing but it cannot seem to find any entourage identities.

Anyone know HOW I can open these "local folders" from the backup copy?

Thanks in advance!!!

Try switching Identities to see if you have the correct Identity load.

You did the right thing. Either the mail was not on the local folder or a
gremlin ate them. :)
