Getting rid of a new default "From" address with no email

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Email Client: pop

When I mail out in Entourage today, the program started
to make the letters' "From" box default to a spelling of
my name which isn't connected to any email address.

Now, each time I mail out, the system doesn't recognize the sender's
address (since there is none attached to that name)- and
I have to go to the "From" box and select the other, correct "From"
address- my name AND email.

I don't know what I did to make this happen- but I just need
one standard "From" selection- the original one I had for the last
4 years. Thanks for any tips.

I'm not quite following you but maybe this will guide you in the right
direction.

Are you noticing that your "From" field has a drop down menu and you can
choose a second "From" address? If so, then you have a second account
set up and you need to correct the spelling in your account.

Go to Tools --> Accounts... and look for the second account. The
spelling should be incorrect there as well. You can double-click an
account to edit it.

Hope this helps!
