getting spotlight to work in entourage

Hi, I hope someone can help.
I've installed the latest update to office 2004 while on OS 10.3.8.
Now I've installed OS 10.4.6, but in my general pref box for Entourage
I see no spotlight checkboxes that I can activate.
What gives?

Make sure that the latest update is applied. Go to Entourage > About
Entourage, and make sure that it says "Version 11.2.3 (060209)" below the
Entourage logo. If it's a lower version, then you need to update. Go to
Help > Check for Updates to get the latest update. Or, get the 11.2.3
update here:
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx#Office2004>

Then, go to Entourage > Preferences. Under "General Preferences", click
"Spotlight". Check the option to "Include Entourage items in Spotlight
search results", and click OK.

Spotlight Preferences only exist in Tiger, since only Tiger has Spotlight.
So when you were in Panther, the 11.2.3 couldn't install that part. Now in
Tiger, have you tried Help/Check for Updates in Entourage? If so, and you
get a negative response, presumably it sees you already have 11.2.3 and
thinks there are no more updates for you. (It may look no further than the
version number.) If that's the issue, download the standalone 11.2.3 update
at MacTopia (Help/Visit the Product Website) / Downloads, and see if you can
simply re-apply it. I think that should work. If it doesn't help. use Remove
Office utility in "Additional Tools" folder of Microsoft Office 2004 (it
won't touch your data), Empty Trash, install Office 2004 from the CD, then
apply 11.2.3 update.

Ahh, thanks all.
I did all that, but the problem was the spotlight button just didn't
appear in the entourage pref box.
But now that I've posted you guys, it has appeared.
Don't ask me why, but it did.
Case closed!
