getting started with powerpoint

I am new in using powerpoint so bear with me. I have Microsoft Powerpoint
2003 installed on my computer but everytime I click on it to use it, it is
asking me for a file name. Whenever I try to type something in it just says
cannot find the file. How do I get into my powerpoint so that I can start
using it? If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you have the full version of PowerPoint and not the free
PowerPoint Viewer?

It does sound like you only have the viewer.

If so you might want to get a trial of the full program here
