Ghost email addresses

Sometimes when I am composing emails and go to enter the email address on the
"to" line, an email address will pop up that is not in my contacts. (It may
be one that I used to have in but deleted). How can I get rid of them for
good? and Where are they if not in my contacts folder?

You did not post your Outlook version or clarify at what point these
addresses appear. If you think these are addresses that you do not have in
your Contacts, then I would have to guess that you are using Outlook 2002 or
2003 and that you are talking about autocompletion, not autoresolution.
If those assumptions are correct, then these addresses reside in your
autocompletion cache. Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion
cache by highlighting the entry when presented in the suggested names list
(use your arrow key to migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete
key before you tab out of the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the
instructions here:
