What the *&(&*! were you idiots thinkiing? Per your own help system "The
Favorite Folders pane cannot be removed, hidden, or resized. It is not
possible to display Favorite Folders in other panes, such as Folder List."
What if I don't want a favorite folder? What is this? Bill thinks I should
have one so I do? Another case of good old Microsoft - Here's where you're
going today like it or not.

This, by the way is the last straw, paying $200+ dollars to upgrade office
to a version (2003) that provides less control, fewer features, and is jammed
with fluffy crap of no use to anyone. That's it, I am converting my desktop
to Linux. Yeah installs are a pain in the ass, and the user interface is
primitive, but I can turn on what I like, and turn off what I don't .
