Global Address List unavailable in Entourage! Help?!

For years we've been using Outlook 2001 for our e-mail with an
Exchange Server. We've been able to access the Global Address List
(GAL) easily and search our company's email list.

We're moving to Entourage X and after weeks of searching online and in
the online help, I am unable to access the GAL. The only addresses it
sees are ones I've already sent to or ones living in my Address Book.

How do I set up Entourage to find the GAL, which Outlook 2001 found so
easily? I have tried every variation of the ldap information my MIS
guys have given. Should the ldap info be an IP address or a text
address: ldap.mycompany.com?

I am desparate to get this to work ASAP. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you

Entourage uses LDAP to query the GAL. Your system admin should be able to
tell you the LDAP server to put in your Entourage Exchange account dialog.

If you have access to a PC running Outlook 2003, you can hold down the
control key while right-clicking the Outlook icon in the system tray, choose
Connection Status in the menu, and then get the directory server from the
resulting window.
