GMail / Entourage

After all the fooparah about not being able to get to GMail from
Entourage, I thought I'd give it a try. Went to:
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=13286
followed the instructions (adding "Insure 'Allow online access...'
is checked in the Accounts/Options page" to make it show up) and
all worked flawlessly

Worked flawlessly for me, too. Never a hitch. Didn't know about any
'fooparah', however.

I'd never had any problems setting up POP mail for GMail, either (I've
actually never been to the GMail site after first setting it up 2
years ago). But that link is exactly what's needed for instructions
for setting it up so that GMail comes directly into your Entourage
account, just like all other emails. Great and useful link.

Not only that, gmail has a far better spam filter than Entourage, so
having other accounts go through gmail can save you a lot of spam.
