Go back to the mailmerge wizard in 2000- the one in 2003 is awful &
cumbersome. I am the IT specialist and fairly tech savy- this is terrible-
even my best users have a hard time with it. the wizard and its features
were was MUCH easier for users.

Hi Theresa,

Both the old and newer (Word 2002 and 2003) Mailmerge interfaces
are available in MS Word 2003. You may want to check with the
folks in the Word mailmerge group (link below) and detail some
of the issues you're finding.
