gotoslide 24 tells me that there are only 1-22

one of my presentations has 28 slides. 9 are generated (vba) and 1 is copied
(vba) from another presentation. the presentation is assembled/governed via
an .ppa.
slideshowwindows.gotoslide 24 tells me that 24 is not valid in the range 1-22?
any clues out there or workarounds?

Do you mean:

SlideShowWindows(1).View.GotoSlide 22

If so, I wonder if you have more than one presentation open and the add-
in is accessing #1 when it just assembled #2.

Check the SlideShowSettings.RangeType for the presentation. Most likely,
only a small set of the slides are being displayed. If RangeType is set to
ppShowSlideRange, check the EndingSlide and StartingSlide to see the range.
If the RangeType is set to ppShowNamedSlideShow, the custom slide show may
not have that many slides.

solved. i did not explicit set the rangetype. it turned out to be 2
(namedshow). setting it to ShowAll did solve the problem.
chirag and david, thank you for the suggestions.
