How do I create a function for keeping track of my grades
each time I get a new grade posted. For example am I
getting an A, B, etc. a certain percentage = A

Maybe you can use COUNTIF for this like
=COUNTIF(A1:A100,"A")/COUNTA(A1:A100)

It was more and if x = 90 then grade "a" and so forth or
between 100 and 90 grade is "a"

=LOOKUP(A1,{0,60,70,80,90},{"F","D","C","B","A"})

if you are a teacher you should be able to adapt the above to fit your
requirement, the numeric value in your example 90
in cell A1
