Graphic in Word 2003 don't show

In Word 2003, graphics show as a box with an X in the uper left hand corner
of the box. I have gone through most menus and security software (Norton,
Microsoft) to try to resolve and have - as I read in another post visited
Tools>Options>View (hidden, text and field codes are unchecked) and
Tools>Options>PringTab (hidden and field codes are unchecked). Can someone
help?

It's telling you that the graphic intended to be displayed there isn't where
it should be or possibly that Word can't read the file. Usually this happens
when images are inserted as Linked objects, then the doc or the image file
is moved to a different location, of if the image file gets renamed. Can
also happen if someone emails the doc to you or if you copy from the
internet, as well as other causes.

If you have access to the image file, reinsert it as an embedded or
reconnect the link. As long as the image goes with the doc the link should
work.
