Graphic trail with Motion Path

I'm trying to make a heartbeat graphic (like on an EKG) along the bottom of a
slide. I'm using custom animation fine. Just trying to find out if I can
have it leave a little (or a lot) of a trail/tail. Doesn't look as good with
the heart just bouncing along.

I'm using PowerPoint 2003.
