Graphics in W2K Terminal Server display poorly

J

John A.

I'm using color graphic backgrounds in an A2K app running on W2K Terminal
server. I've tried jpgs, bmps, 256 color bmps as embedded graphics under
transparent buttons, all of them look pathetic. Viewing them outside of
Access on Terminal Server is acceptable -

Any ideas gratefully accepted...

Tnx,
John

In Windows Server 2003 a lot of the graphic accelaration/features are
switched off by default (to increase stability) but can be re-enabled. Could
it be the display settings on the W2K Terminal Server?

As far as I know, W2K Terminal Server doesn't allow more than 256 color
display. The backgrounds display fine on Terminal Server in, for example,
Paint - it's just in Access that they get color-mangled.
