Gray Screen on Proj Pro 2002

From time to time something will happen on out Project Server 2002 that will
not allow anyone to connect with Project Pro 2002. Project Web Access
functions fine during this problem, it's only the connection between the
server and Project Pro 2002. When users with Project Pro 2002 try to access
the server it hangs with a gray screen and never goes anywhere. Rebooting
the server fixes the problem temporarily but this will not always be an
option.

Try checking your DNS settings in the domain. I have seen
occasions when the Project Pro client is not able to
connect, but PWA connects fine. It seems as if Project Pro
is more vulnerable to DNS problems than PWA.
