Greeting Cards in Microsoft Word?

B

Brandon Taylor

Hello.

I have Microsoft Word 97, and I was wondering something: How does one go about creating a greeting card using Microsoft Word?

I am not asking for version-specific instructions. If anyone can give me instructions for a newer version than the one I have, I should be able to implement (read: "trick") these instructions with Word 97. So, can anyone provide assistance in this matter?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can.

Might help if you explained what you're having problems with. Greeting cards
are just documents, as far as Word is concerned. Smaller than most, but
apart from that ...

Jezebel,

Word 97 has no greeting card template available, so I will have to make one
from scratch. So how do I get started?

Hi Brandon,

You can download sample greeting card templates from
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT063472091033.aspx
While some of them rely on features of Word 2000 or higher
there are some that work with Word 97, such as
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC010127961033.aspx

Some cards print 'front only' (edge fold - blank inside) while
others are for quarter fold (print front and message inside, in
which case the 'front' is built 'upside down' in Word so that
when folded everything is rightside up.

Bob,

I most certainly appreciate the help you have given me. I wonder what other
such templates are available?
