Group Entries Not Saving - Desperate, Please Help

Hello - I've searched far and wide for an answer to this problem but have come up empty.

PROBLEM: I'm creating a New Email Group in Entourage 2008. Some of the Group members share the SAME email address, but are listed separately by Name in my address book.

After adding a Contact to the Group that shares an identical email address as an existing Group contact, the new Contact will not SAVE to the Group. After clicking on Save in the File Menu, the new Contact simply disappears.

I can verify this behavior. It's either a bug or by design. If you think
about it, the emails go to the same folder so sending twice is redundant.

Tip: I highly suggest all group members be a contact in your Address Book.
Assign a category to each contact like Group: xyz. This way all your group
contacts will sort correctly and can then be exported for backup. Groups do
not export.

Thanks for your insight. I know it's a bit strange having the same email for two people...usually it is a husband and wife who may get different info. Maybe I'll encourage them to get separate accounts :)

I'll make do for now...thanks again for your very prompt reply.

I have shared email addresses as well. I would just let them know they will
receive only one email.

I have a similar question but the opposite.

I have the same contact in 2 different groups. Entourage sends the email twice to that contact. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Is this by design?

This is not an issue in Outlook or Windows Mail

Then use them instead.
