Group Sorting Issue - Failure to Alphabetize

Here is my situation. I need to alphabetize a group of Schools with subtasks
within a given District. When I group by the "Local District" I get 3
alphabetized listings. Does anyone know why that might happen? My
predecessor left no information on how the schools might be __________ for
Grouping purposes. I have been unable to uncover a clue as to why this is
happeneing.

Thanks,

BillV,
We need a little more information. Since you mention subtasks, are the
schools summary lines? How is "local district" identified (e.g. is it an
entry in a spare field or what)? When you say you group, do you mean you
are using the grouping feature, (i.e. Project/Group By), or are you
using some other "grouping" process?

Also, what version of Project are you using and what updates are
installed? Are you using Project in a Project Server environment?

Hi John and all,

I've been working with and on the poster's file several times.
I also cracked this (last) one.
The tasks were not in alpha order because they weren't sorted in that order
and a text field with teh school had to be created..
