grouping tasks based on start time

I need to group (by comman manufacturer) several tasks (hardware itemsby un
ique part numbers) so that they appear together based on the lead time to
produce the longest item. An example is all items produced by company ABC
display under the 120 day leadtime of the longest item to facilitate a single
purchase order for each vendor.

hornet50,
Depending on how the file is structured, there are several options. A
customized Group may work (Project/Group By), a Sort may work
(Project/Sort), or some VBA code could be used. It's a little hard to
say which method would be best without more file structural detail. For
example, how is the file currently structured (i.e. is company ABC a
Summary Line with all its products listed as subtasks)? Are hardware
part numbers shown in a separate custom field? Are lead times embedded
in the Duration field or are they shown in a separate field?

Headings are as follows: Part #, Part Name, Duration, Start, Finish,
Predessor, Manufacturer

Most Predessors are now 1SS+#days
