Groups

Hi Guys!

Got a weird one here, I think?!

We use Entourage 2004, with all the recent updates, with Exchange 2003. We
cannot, for some weird reason, create Groups when we click on Contacts under
the Exchange account. The option is grayed out. But under the "Address book
[On My Computer]" we can.

Does anyone know why?
Is there a secret way to create a Group to store within our Contacts?!

Thanks!

No, it's not weird, Everyone with an Exchange Account in Entourage 2004 SP 2
will see the same thing.

Because the Exchange Server can't sync the Groups, that's why. There would
be an extremely high chance of all your data being lost. In Entourage 2004
and SP (11.0 and 11.1) you could make the groups but they only remained in
in your local cache. not the server. In SP 2, with separate address books
for Exchange and local, you would be misled: any groups made in Exchange
address book would only be in your local cache. and a new sync could lose it
all. So the menu item has been o disabled to prevent you from shooting
yourself in the foot and losing your data.

Hardly secret: just make your groups in your local address book "On My
Computer".
