Handheld Sync software

I am running OS 10.3.4, Office 11.0, Palm Desktop 4.2.1 and just got a
Treo 600 phone. I am trying to install Handheld Sync Installer so I
can sync Entourage with my phone. I get this error message while
attempting to install : "Insallation failed because Microsoft
Component Plugin was not found". Any help much appreciated!

How are you installing Handheld Synchronization? You should use the
installer that Microsoft provides with the Office 2004 installation.
HD/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Handheld Sync
Installer

The installer available for download at Microsoft will not work with Office
2004. The error you are getting indicates that you might be trying to
install the old software.
