Have older Word 6.0 version; looking to upgrade or get new Word version--
what do you suggest?

also what's price difference -- is it wise to buy from ebay? or from MSN or
other vendors?

need to know, thanks

Unfortunately, I believe that Word 6.0 is not a qualifying program for an
upgrade. If Word is the only component of Office that you are after, the
cheapest way to get it is to buy the Works Suite. See:

Buying from ebay (or other second hand source) may be OK, but you run the
risk of buying software that legally, you should not use.

If you are a student, an Academic version may be a lower cost option.

Unless you want the entire Office suite, the Student and Teacher version or
even an academic version of Office is unlikely to be a better bargain than
Works Suite. Works Suite 2005, which includes a full version of Word 2002,
plus Works, Money, PictureIt!, Encarta, and Streets & Trips, is currently
offered at Amazon.com for $89, with free shipping, and there is a $20
Microsoft rebate in effect till January 1, 2006. This means that the
effective price is $69.
