HELP! change print order of mail merge labels from across to down

I have a comma delimited file that I need to print out on labels. I need
duplicate labels next to each other. The merge format is three up labels.
Publisher (and Word) always print the merged data across the page but I'd
like them to be printed down column one first then C2 and C3 before going to
the next page. It would look like thise where L1 = label 1:

L1 L4 L7
L1 L4 L7
L1 L5 L8
L2 L5 L8
L2 L6 L9
L3 L6 L9

Etc....
L3

You need to setup your data differently for this to happen.
