HELP Corrupted database

IF anyone can assist me that would be absolutely great.

I have been using Entourage 2004 1.11.0 successfully until yesterday. I got
a message that my database was corrupted.
Verification was OK, but both Compact and Rebuild caused a I/O error. I
tried to copy the database onto another disk, but got an error that it could
not read some of the data in the file (about 3/4 way through the 517mb
database).

The database I last used yesterday (I think this is the corrupted one) is
still there and was woking fine until last night but somehow another one
called Main Identity Copy has been created and this seems to be a copy from
about 4 weeks ago. Every time I open Entourage today it opens the Main
Identity copy with the very old data and when I use the finder and click on
the Database (The one accessed yesterday) Entourage opens the Main Identity
Copy, not the main Identity database, with all my current data.

I am panicking as I am in the middle of mobilising a large project and all
my email relating to this project is in the Main Identity database that
seems corrupted and I cannot open

Can anyone HELP urgently as I am deep trouble

All

I have now managed to switch identities to my original main identity. I can
see everything, but cannot export the data to another file, backup the file,
etc. Says it cannot read the data.
