Help creating a search

I have looked at all the posts regarding creating a search, and now I am more
confused than when I started.

I need to search 'IncidentAddress' for whatever the user inputs into
'searchfor'. For example if the user types 312, I would like to return
addresses that have 312 in any part, such as 4312 or 31255. Also if the user
enters 'old', would the same search find 312 old yale rd. and 444 coldstream?
