Hello all
I hope some of you out there can help with differnet issues my wife
encounters when she uses Entourage. She has recently switched from a
lifetime of using W$indows/ Outlook over to Mac/Entourage (Office 2004
on OS 10.4)
She is a 'power user'; an intenational film sales agent with almost
5000 contacts, so when she has a problem, I hear about it.
I bought the Import Outlook/Entourage thingy, and used it with limited
success.
(Help!)
Here are the issues, as per her:
1. The contact search tool. I had a lot of info in the previous Notes
section/field in Outlook. When I wants to search for info in Entourage,
it doesn't. ( I have since read that Spotlight will be incorporated
soon into Entourage, so I guess this will help, yes?)
2) I have to organise my contacts with several custom view because the
main view does not sort more than one field at the time. To include
notes in the view is impossible. Is there a way to do this?
3) I work by sending my clients emails, which are sorted by bcc groups,
when new films are available. When I go into my 'Sent Items' to see the
group I sent the email to, it does not show a TO group.
4) First of all it was impossible to transfer my address book from
Outlook to Entourage, then we found an passable programme, but this was
not plain sailing. Entourage did not recognise categories as a field
which screwed up my address book entirely and had to painfully restore
it.
5) When downloading (Contacts as) an Excel Spreadsheet from a website
it randomly apportions informartion.
6) Is there an email merge facility as in Outlook?
7) Another anomaly is when I want to insert an address into Word, more
often than not it does read it. It also does not read it if you want
to copy an address from the contact.
8) In Outlook, when you clicked on an email message or contact you
could search all the correspondence with that contact. Is this missing
in Entourage?
Please help us use Entourage's power to the fullest!
Thanks,
Alan
