A syncing software has deleted contacts.

How can I recover them if they have been created in the last week and the
backup database file doesn¹t contain them?

Can't help you on that. I will let you know that your use of all caps in
your subject line tripped the spam flag in my newsreader. It's still in
training mode, so it wasn't deleted yet. Other users may have their
readers automatically deleting messages identified as spam. You may want
to repost with a lowercase subject line. (Cancel your original, if you
can.)

I don¹t understand how syncing software deleted your contacts. Entourage
stores it¹s info in a database and the software just copies over the entire
database. There is no syncing actually going on.

You can try rebuilding your database to see if that would help.
