HELP!! How can I 'accept' MS Outlook tasksvia email (not exchange)

Hello, I've recently been re-assigned positions at work, and now am required to work using tasks sent to me, via email (not exchange), from MS Outlook. How can I do this? I've tried all I can think of (granted I'm no expert), so I'm turning to you - any ideas?

I really hope that I don't have to abandon all the great mac features (which brought me to switch two years ago), and install windows & Outlook simply for this one small thing.

Sorry, but Entourage does not support accepting tasks via E-mail.
Outside of Outlook, I don't know of any other mail application that can
accept tasks from Outlook.

Please be sure to let Microsoft know you'd like to see this feature in
future versions by using the Help --> Send Feedback mechanism in any
Office application.
