Help! Hyperlinks show up as code fields not blue text in MS Word .

MS Word / Windows ME Office 2000--documents containing hperlinks that are
opened in Word show only the field code (like html). They are not in Blue
and can not be accessed unless you highlight directly and open mannually from
the font menu. How do I reset to open automatically. Been to auto-correct
and that doesn't seem to work.

Thanks for your help

Press Alt+F9 (or Tools > Options > View and uncheck "Field codes").
