Help! I may have lost...

A

Andy Doyle

I had a problem and now when I open my Entourage it is
like I am opening it for the first time. I am using OS
9.2. When this happened I installed the most recent
version version of OS 10.

I also upgraded to Office 10 and when I tried to import my
information form my older Entourage it said it was missing
a file.

What do I need to do to get my old Entourage folders
(ecspecially contacts) into my new version.

HELP!

I am with Andy. I have lost my contacts and many emails
that serve as backed data.

If you have just upgraded to the OSX version then you can import and
bring in your old information. Go to import and it will walk you through
it. you will import from program, then choose office 2001. it will bring
in all of your old e-mail, calendars, contacts-everything, and sets it up
like you had it before-very smooth.
--note if you have just upgraded there are a few updates on MS
websites. it is up to 10.1.5

good luck

Do you have two Document folders?

Entourage expects the folder to be in your Documents folder. For OS X
users, that's the Documents folder in your User's folder.

Move the Office 2001 identity folder to the Microsoft User Data folder that
Entourage is recognizing. Your identity is named "Main" by default.

(Note you can combine the OS 9 Documents folder items into your OS X User's
Documents folder.)

====How to find MUD folder that Entourage is recognizing=====

Open Entourage, create a new identity and name it something unique so you
can do a search on it and it will be the only thing that shows up.

Now do a search in the Finder for this new identity. This will tell you
where Entourage is looking for Identities.

Hello everyone...

I have recently (i.e. today) had a similar problem to Andy. The
difference is that I am on Office X, and have in fact, always been on
Office X. I've been using Entourage in this system since I got my new
computer in August, and today when I went in to check my schedule, it
asked me to reregister and everything is GONE. I have already tried
switiching identities, and I double checked as Diane suggested, and
the new identities were there, and my old one isn't! i don't know
what to do! Somebody help!
