Help! I suddenly can't send e-mail!

All accounts that used to send are "dead." Only Hotmail sends out.
Thoughts?

Sorry, replied only to Adam by Hotmail. Didn't understand what I was doing
with the NNTP --

Entourage says "connecting to whatever account", then "An operation on the
server timed out" "Mail could not be sent"

Yet I can post to the group fine [NNTP] and hotmail works. Yahoo, .Mac
[POP] and 3 others do not.

OK, the fact you can send to hotmail & news indicates the network is OK, so
it must be a problem with the account set up on those other accounts.

I can send to Yahoo and .mac, so it is possible.

Lets start with .mac as that is probably the easiest...

Open the accounts window under the tools menu, and double-click on the .mac
account. Under the 'Account Settings' tab, the last item should be 'SMTP
Server:' Make sure this is set to 'smtp.mac.com' (without the quotes).
Retype this value manually, even if it appears to be correct. Now, click the
button labelled 'Click here for advanced sending options' and make sure that
'SMTP Server Requires authentication' is checked, together with 'Use same
settings as receiving mail server'. Leave everything else unchecked/Blank.

Now, can you send mail with this account?

Oy. No. Did as instructed. I can work from Outlook on PC on same
accounts. Thanks for the thinking here, Barry.
